Translation quality is Netflix’s and TVT’s top priority on the DTT project. The data below shows your EPE (objective Error Per Event) for any files that went through LocQC for the previous week as well as your average EPE and your team’s average EPE across this current year.
TVT’s minimum expectation on the DTT project is an EPE of 0.05 or below. We may contact any linguists who are consistently above 0.05 EPE in order to troubleshoot and discuss if the QC report is accurate. We want to stress that our PM team is here to support you and we can arrange 1:1 training sessions if needed. You can schedule a 1:1 session using this link.
You can also check a graph of how your EPE score has changed over the last 12 weeks along with your team. Below that is a breakdown of your LocQC errors by category for the same 12-week period. This score doesn’t include subjective errors and excludes supplemental files. If you already reported invalid errors in your QC reports to us and we have confirmed, it will be reflected on TVT internal metrics, but not on this page unfortunately. If you have worked on a Conformance task, only Locked cut score will be included.
Translation quality is Netflix’s and TVT’s top priority on the DTT project. The data below shows your AssetQC pass rate for any files that went through AssetQC for the previous week as well as your fail rate and your team’s fail rate across this current year.
TVT’s expectation is a fail rate of 5% or below. We may contact any linguists who are consistently above 5% in order to troubleshoot and discuss if the QC fail is accurate. We want to stress that our PM team is here to support you and we can arrange 1:1 training sessions if needed. You can schedule a 1:1 session using this link. We would also stress that we’re aware that many QC Fails can be faulty / unavoidable due to the DTT workflow - we’re currently unable to filter out faulty QC Fails from the data below however we will take these into account.
You can also check a graph of how your fail rate has changed across the year along with your team’s average fail rate. To ensure your fail rate stays below 5%, we strongly encourage you to complete all mandatory final checks and perform a second watchthrough to minimize avoidable errors like typos. You can also refer to this article on Knowledge Base for guidance on what steps to take when you receive a QC Fail.
